Amanda Gray is just a normal 17 year old girl singing on the streets but that all changes when she comes encounter with Lucious Lyon not knowing that he's the ex of Cookie Lyon. He offers her a huge record deal. When Lucious introduces her to the empire family, she and Cookie recognize each other instantly but don't show the rest of the family that they know each other. As time goes on, Amanda gets closer to Cookie's sons and they all become very close. Cookie decides that she wants Amanda from Lucious but refuses at first but then eventually gives in. Cookie does all that she can to make Amanda and her son Jamal a huge hit. Unfortunately relationship with Amanda and the sons heats up stirring unnecessary fights. As the empire family continue to make it big, relationship between Cookie and Amanda comes out and she just so happens to be related to the Lyons causing confusion and betrayal. Will Amanda be able to make it work or have no choice but to leave Empire and the Lyons behind?
