Welcome to the Halstead household-where the coffee is strong ☕, the kids are louder than the sirens 🚨, and love is the glue holding it all together 💛. Follow Jay and Hailey as they raise their two wild, wonderful kiddos: Nathan (the older, occasionally wiser one 😅) and Skylar (the feisty, full-of-heart little sister 💫). From bubble bath floods 🛁 to teen-sized attitude 😤, this one-shot collection captures all the messy, hilarious, and heartfelt moments that come with raising a family. Jay and Hailey are married, Nate is always two years older than Sky, and every day brings a new adventure... or disaster... or both. 🫠 ⚠️ Heads up: These stories include parental discipline like spanking and mouth washing 🧼. If that's not your vibe, no hard feelings-but this series might not be for you! --- Disclaimer: I do not own Jay Halstead, Hailey Upton, or any characters from Chicago P.D. All recognizable characters and settings belong to their respective creators and NBC. This is a fan-made work created for entertainment purposes only. No copyright infringement is intended.

After the loss of their parents, brothers Jay and Will Halstead step up as legal guardians to their spirited younger sister, Emma. Navigating the challenges of parenting a strong-willed child while balancing their demanding careers, Jay and Will bring their own unique styles to discipline and support. Jay with firm structure and consequences, Will with calm guidance and emotional connection. Emma often tests boundaries as she wrestles with grief, insecurity, and her place in the world. Through defiance, emotional outbursts, and tough lessons, including parental style spankings, she slowly learns that no matter what, her brothers won't give up on her. Together, they face the ups and downs of healing, growing, and building a family built on trust and unconditional love. Note: The only original character is Emma; all other characters belong to the creators of Chicago Med and Chicago PD. This story includes disciplinary spanking as part of a fictional guardian-child dynamic. Reader discretion is advised.

These are one shots of Rachel Halstead, Jay Halstead, and Will Halstead from different ages, before their mom's and dad's death! So, these will be one shots from when Rachel is born till the time Jay and Will officially move out for college, leaving Rachel with their dad. So, we'll be doing one shots where Rachel's the ages of 0 - 6 years old. I'll also add some of where Rachel's older (till the age of 13), when Jay and Will are away in college and come to visit. I thought it would be interesting to write about what life was like before Rachel turned into this rebellious teenager! I hope you enjoy Mini Halstead One Shots: The Early Years!

Maya Donovan, a brilliant data analyst, has always lived her life by the numbers, meticulously calculating every decision to maintain control. But when an accidental phone call connects her with Jay Halstead, a seasoned detective in the Chicago PD, she finds herself drawn into a world of unexpected vulnerability. Jay, older and more experienced, is intrigued by Maya's intelligence and independence, but he's not prepared for the chemistry that ignites between them. As they share late-night conversations, a slow-burn connection forms-one built on mutual respect, unspoken desires, and a growing emotional bond. But when life throws them both unexpected curveballs, Maya must confront her own need for control, while Jay finds himself questioning everything he thought he knew about love, trust, and letting go. Can they take the leap, or will their calculated risks be too much to handle? [this one is extremely slow burn] mature content 18+ , chapter are titled with 🌶️

Rachel Halstead, the younger sister of Will and Jay Halstead, is a rebellious 14 year old, care-free girl. She lived her life liberally with her father Pat, until he became brain dead. What happens when her older brothers, Will and Jay, become her legal guardians? Will she let them in after their distant relationship? Will they become the inseparable siblings they once were years ago? I do NOT own any of the characters or pictures, except Rachel Halstead and a few other characters I may make up. WARNING: This story contain non-sexual spankings. DON'T LIKE DON'T READ. Thank you!

After pulling his sixteen-year-old sister, Alex, out of an unsafe home, Detective Jay Halstead is determined to give her life stability. But building a family isn't as simple as moving to a new apartment. Alex has spent years surviving on her own, and trusting Jay - really trusting him - doesn't come easy. Jay, protective to a fault, struggles to balance giving her space with keeping her safe. As they navigate the growing pains of their new reality, old wounds resurface, tempers flare, and the road ahead feels anything but smooth. But one thing is certain: neither of them is going anywhere. The Long Road Home is the sequel to The Long Haul, and while you could jump in here, you'll get the full weight of their journey by reading the first story.
