This story starts right after chapter 15 of Double Hearted by Kitsuneisi on Tumblr. Cover art was also created by Kitsuneisi. After Grian is released from the hospital things aren't the same between Hotguy and Cuteguy. Hotguy trying to make up for his mistakes leads to an unexpected discovery that could change the lives of mutants everywhere, and changes his relationship with Grain and Cuteguy. They grow closer as the world around them changes. This is also my first fanfiction in 5-6 years I want to note that I am a physically disabled man myself and an ambulatory wheelchair, cane, and brace user, so a lot of what I write in this about experiencing disability is based on my own personal experiences. I, however, do not have a neuromuscular condition like Scar and this will definitely not be accurate to his real condition.

Ryuuji's right arm is pressed against the blanket, and he stares at it before flipping it over to see if his fated words are there. His heart pounds and he notices the tips of his fingers shaking. This could determine his whole future, and waiting a few more seconds in the 'before' isn't going to hurt. Finally, he takes a deep breath and turns his arm over. Yuusaku and his mother weren't wrong; the words are there. They're in a plain, dark-colored font, just as he was expecting. He reads his sentence, from quotation mark to quotation mark, and then rests his head in his hands. His eyes remain open and his breaths become ragged.
