But Sirius still had a problem. He always wanted to touch Remus. Just any sort of physical contact. When Remus was laying in bed, Sirius wanted to crawl in too; every time Sirius sat next to Remus, he had to constantly remind himself not to run his hand over Remus' thigh; Sirius wished he could slip his cold hands under Remus' thick sweater and finger every scar that littered Remus' pale skin; Sirius wanted to caress every part of Remus' face as if he could memorize it by touch; and Sirius really wanted to know what the soft skin on Remus' neck felt like under his lips, Sirius wondered if Remus was as susceptible to love bites as he was. Remus had woken up from a transformation after fainting only to see his unconscious best friend Sirius Black blooded up with nasty cuts and bruises everywhere. He's a monster. He has killed his best friend... When Sirius Black, who changes girls like underwear (so shockingly, quite often), finally finds himself a long-term girlfriend, everyone in Hogwarts thinks he must be the happiest man alive. But he isn't. Maggie isn't his soulmate, and while he likes her, he still lacks something, or someone, special. And so does Remus Lupin, who (as always) seems to be the only person in Hogwarts to notice that something's up. Maybe it's just that he doesn't like Maggie or her dick jokes and thinks that only he can be enough for Black. Maybe... but Lupin isn't going to rest until he and Sirius go out together at least once.

After getting hit by a bludger on the head, Sirius wakes up with the ability to see red threads tied on people's left pinky. After seeking help from an unusual ally, he figures out what he sees are threads that connects people with their destined partners.
