A young Harlem Fisher lives in the city of Harlem. How cute huh? Well apparently that's the only thing cute about her. All her life Harlem hasn't really cared for others opinion of her yet they give it anyways. "Your to dark to be pretty!" , "You alright I mean for a dark girl that is." , "I date red bones." "Blacks girls are NOT Beautiful!" These are the kind of things she hears on a day to day basis. Growing up without a father to tell her she's pretty never bothered her but it sure would've helped.
