FREE STORY WITH EXCLUSIVE CONTENT. This is *not* a Paid Story. Eighteen-year-old hockey prodigy Elliot Wexler has three goals for senior year. One: somehow graduate with a 3.5 GPA. Two: hide his bipolar disorder from his peers. And three: make it into the NHL with no scandals. Piece of cake. What he doesn't expect is to find Lucy, a homeless girl, hiding from the winter frost in his dad's shed. Elliot's busy, complicated life doesn't permit room for error, and falling in love with a girl from a totally different world sounds like the opposite of a good idea. But Elliot can't help but be drawn to Lucy and her elusive ways--even when she seems to vanish from his life non-stop, each time leaving him with a bigger hole in his heart. But Elliot is determined to break down Lucy's barriers. And when he does, he discovers that her life is more complicated--and dangerous--than he could have imagined. With drafting season approaching, and Elliot's fragile mental health deteriorating, he's forced to face a difficult question: Is first love supposed to hurt so much? *** PLEASE DO NOT ADD THIS STORY TO GOODREADS.

"I love it when you beg," laughed Vincent as he dragged Riley to her bedroom. Shoving her into the bedroom he closed the door behind him, turning the lock. "How long do I have?" asked Vincent as he sauntered up to Riley who backed herself against the wall. "Not long, Jason will be back any minute now," lied Riley, her heart beating hard in her chest. Vincent placed his arms on either side of Riley's body, trapping her in while dipping his head to her eye level. "I think my little birdy is lying to me," he smirked. "Now tell me, how long do I have," he asked again, pulling out a knife from his pocket and sliding it up Riley's back underneath her hoodie. He pressed the knife into the flesh of her back and started to press down, cutting slowly into her skin. "Tell me," he repeated. "Thr..ee h..hours," sobbed out Riley. // WARNING: This story contains themes of self harm, rape and violence. Seventeen year old Thea Allen moves from northern Georgia to the small town of Maicoh, Washington. She notices something eerie about the forest that surrounds the small town. With the increasing number of animal attacks, Thea, unknowingly, finds herself in the midst of a war between two wolf packs fighting for control of the territory. Logan Lykos, future Alpha of the Moonrise pack, struggles with the fight against the feral Black Claw pack. After meeting his mate, Thea, he tries to keep her away from the dangers of his pack and the Black Claws by not telling her of his true identity as a werewolf. But what happens when a human boy tries to take his place as Thea's lover? Will he lose her love forever? Will he be able to keep his identity a secret? ○○○ I lean my forehead against her's. "I'm so, so sorry, Thea," I whisper, gently stroking her cheek. "W-wha--" she starts. "Shh..." I cut her off. "Promise me you won't go into the forest, Thea." "How does this have anything to do--" "Promise me! It's not safe and I can't always be there to protect you," I say. "Promise me you will stay with Carter--make sure he treats you right." "I don't understand..." she trails off, gripping my jacket with her small fists. "I know, just promise me." "I promise." With that, I take one last look at her beautiful face--commiting her image to memory--before letting go and following my alpha out the door and out of her life. ___ Author here! This book isn't that great, I don't know why people keep reading it. A MUCH better version will be coming out soon so please, spare me the embarrassment of reading this.

(COMPLETED | UNDER EDITING) Fresh out of college, Veronica Odair is hired as a forensic scientist at the infamous B.E.A.R. Laboratories. She is put to work on the classified Tekula Project, but certain events lead her to question her job. What is so dangerous about Level 5? Why do her tests come back increasingly strange? What secrets are B.E.A.R. Laboratories hiding? Veronica plans to find out. ▪▪▪ Brown eyes, nearly obscured by rich locks of dark hair, stare into my light green ones with an intensity which nearly causes my knees to wobble. I can hear nothing but the thudding of my heart beating wildly in my chest, the sounds of the sirens turning into white noise at the back of my mind. I back up until my spine connects with the elevator doors. I shiver as my bare arms come in contact with the cool metal. "Someone help me, please," I beg. The man stalks closer still. His eyes are fixed solely on me, unmoving, intense. His fists are clutched tightly against his sides, as though restraining himself in some way. Restraining himself from what, I don't want to know. The man stops only an arm's length away from me. I stare up at him with wide eyes, my lips parted in fear. I stand frozen, unable to move. I shut my eyes, turning my head away. Laboured breathing, the touch of fingertips on my bare shoulder, breath on my lips. A heavy, deep inhale. Slow exhale. A forehead against mine, shaky hands cupping the back of my neck, fingertips sliding into my red locks. My eyes open to meet the warmest pair of honey eyes. Cover by AnnaCharles16 #4 in ROMANCE?
