Things take a turn when the Equestria Girls enter the world of Barbie in the Princess and the Pauper. Twilight, Applejack, Rainbow Dash, and Sunset find themselves meeting the princess Anneliese, while Pinkie, Rarity, and Fluttershy stumble into the life of the pauper Erika. Both girls seem to be living completely different lives, so it's a shock when Anneliese and Erika meet up, and the only two things that are different about them are their hair and their birthmarks (Anneliese has the royal birthmark; Erika doesn't have any). Suddenly, Anneliese is kidnapped by the minions of the royal advisor, Preminger. Not only that, but Erika rebels from the script and goes along with Rainbow Dash and Sunset to find her. Julian, getting worried, says that Applejack has to pose as the missing princess so they can find her, since she's the closest to Anneliese. However, Anneliese was to marry King Dominic the next week, and he's falling for "Anneliese." Translation: he's falling in love with Applejack. However, Preminger, who had staged Anneliese's kidnapping, knows something's wrong, that either Anneliese escaped so cleverly or that there's something else going on he's unaware of. Meanwhile, the real Anneliese has found herself trapped in the same dress shop Erika lived in, with Madame Carp mistaking her for Erika. The real Erika, Rainbow Dash, and Sunset have just made it to the palace, just as Preminger reveals that Applejack had been playing Anneliese this whole time. With all the confusion going on, will the movie reach the happy ending Pinkie knows and loves? Or will this story change for the worse? The Equestria Girls make their return to Fairytopia, to Elina's delight. But the eight girls barely get any time to reconcile and fly around (as in their last Fairytopia adventure, they had gotten wings) when they run into a sea butterfly, who has terrible news: Prince Nalu of Mermaidia has been kidnapped by Laverna's fungi! Laverna herself, who had been banished to the Bog of the Hinterlands, was trying to get her fungi to find the immunity berry, which is said to protect you from all magic in the past, present, and future. And they need Nalu to find it. And if Nalu doesn't give them the berry, Mermaidia will be poisoned until no life in the oceanic world exists. Elina and the Equestria Girls quickly go to try and save Nalu, where they find the mermaid Nori, who's not interested in helping these girls out at first. But eventually, all nine of them track down the Oracle Delphie, who tells them how to find Nalu: go to the bottom of the Depths of Despair and find the Mirror of the Mist, which would help them find his location. However, there's a price involved should Elina and the Equestria Girls go down there. In order to find the strength to get to the bottom, they'll have to give up their wings--and their magic--in order to rescue Nalu and prevent Laverna from getting the immunity berry. Can they do it? Or is Mermaidia and all of Fairytopia doomed?

Princess Annika loves skating and has recently adopted the polar bear cub Shiver. Unfortunately, her overprotective parents don't want her, Sunset, Applejack, Rarity, or Pinkie outside skating again. After all, not only is Rainbow Dash, Twilight, and Fluttershy are missing, and according to Pinkie's movie knowledge, Brietta, an older sister Annika is unaware of, is missing as well. However, today was Annika's birthday, and she sneaks out with her friends to celebrate at the rink with everyone. It's around that time that the sorcerer Wenlock strikes, coming in and asking for Annika's hand in marriage. When she refuses, he proceeds to turn everyone but Annika, Shiver, Sunset, and Applejack to stone, and says that if Annika doesn't marry him in three days, they're stone forever. Quickly, two pegasi and an alicorn fly in scooping up the three humans. In shock, they realize that Annika is riding a Pegasus (Brietta), but the more horrifying discovery is that Applejack is on Rainbow Dash and Sunset is on Twilight. Together, the three ponies and humans (and Shiver) fly to Cloud Kingdom, where they meet the queen Rayla, and explains that Wenlock had transformed Brietta, Fluttershy, Twilight, and Rainbow Dash to ponies, with Twilight being an alicorn despite having transformed into a unicorn just three movies before. The only way to break all of Wenlock's spells is to create the Wand of Light, created by a measure of courage, a ring of love, and a gem of ice lit by hope's eternal flame. The humans travel with the ponified Equestria Girls and Brietta to meet Adian in the forbidden forest, who agrees to help them after a reluctant meeting between him and Annika. Can they build the wand and reverse the spells?

I saw that they have these with the ponies so I did it with the humans. Anyways. So Pinkie Pie has begun her annual "Barbie movie marathon" campaign, and since Sunset Shimmer and Twilight Sparkle aren't familiar with this, they convince the rest of the group to just try it and see how it goes. However, when Pinkie slides in the DVD for the first film, "Barbie in the Nutcracker," and the movie starts playing, their geodes link with the movie by magic, and they get slurped into the silver screen. In the world of Clara and the Nutcracker, the Equestria Girls have to go with Clara to find the Sugar Plum Princess to help get them back home. However, the characters in the movie are not only astounded that the girls possess magical qualities, but even start to suspect that one of them could secretly be the Sugar Plum Princess (much to Sunset, Rainbow Dash, and Applejack's dismay). And not only are suspicions rising, they have to fend off the Mouse King and his army, who feel that the Equestria Girls are a bigger threat than Clara and the gang. Can the group find the true Sugar Plum Princess and get everyone back to where they belong, Clara back at her estate and the Equestria Girls out of the movie? You'll have to read to find out. However, things get tricky as they discover the kingdom, and the prince starts falling in love with Rapunzel, who reciprocates the prince's feelings. She seems more interested in going to the kingdom more than trying to help the Equestria Girls find a way back home, and since Pinkie is great at fourth-wall breaking, she knows that Rapunzel needs to paint their world in order for them to go back... which seems impossible after Gothel finds them, locks them in the tower, pulls the Rapunzel haircut, and breaks the magical paintbrush.
