The story is about a young girl whose family moves to Southern Wales in the 1800's after finding a mine full of diamonds in Kenya. After many hardships including losing one of her parents she struggles between the choice of living or escaping the madness of the surviving parent, the voices lurking in the back of her skull, and the haunting of their house.

After discovering she is the Supernatural world's equivalent of the grim reaper, Evie Jennings is thrown into the world of Serenis.
