Realising they both shared similar likings, like astrology, they were almost inseparable. Your typical 'friends to lovers' arc...but without the 'lovers'. Yashiro was really a case out of the blue. She just came into their lives and stole the heart of the apparition, if he had one. Now, imagine if your best friend slowly started ignoring you, intentionally or not, and you guys start drifting apart. That's exactly how our mc felt because that's exactly what he had done.
