"Good is such a strange word, don't you think? You think that you're good and I think that I'm good, but we both think that each other is evil." The person huddling near my states whispered. "Who's really right if both of us are wrong?" I didn't know what she meant by that then, but I did now. It only took a lifetime to figure it out. One thing has always been clear about Russia and America: They hated each other. It was no surprise; after all, their parents had despised each other, so naturally, their children would hate each other as well. Russia and America had just gotten out of a cold war, and it had only strengthened their feelings of hatred toward each other. One fateful UN meeting, America did something that finally caused Russia to snap. That was the day all hell was let loose. Afterward, a large group of countries met up and decided that Russia and America had to stop arguing, so they consulted UN, and a seemingly brilliant idea was formed. Shock wristbands. Now, these wristbands were programmed to shock the wearer if they leave a certain proximity from one another (1 meter). One was put on Russia, and the other on America. The countries had hoped that by forcing America and Russia to be near each other at all times, they would be able to settle their differences. But binding together one cocky, social, oil-loving country who is actually incredibly insecure and one distant, cold, and terrifying as fuck country with an addiction to vodka... may not be as good of an idea as it seems. Warning: This story may include: -Abuse -Self-harm -Angst -Cursing -Eventual smut (because your author has no chill) -And a tall scary Russian man

The year is two- thousand, twenty-seven. The USA has collapsed. America is dead. The Cabinet of States has arisen from its ashes. Their very own Countryhuman, Cabi, in charge. Unbeknownst to the new government, a plot has been brewing in the shadows. A plot that is determined to wipe them off the face of the earth. It is something so dangerous, so ludicrous, that only a madman would consider going through with it. But that was exactly what he was; a madman. Russia, driven to grief over America's loss, makes a plan to bring him back. However, Cabi has her own plan that she is willing to enact. One that could rid the competition. One that could secure her place as leader. One that she is so ambitious, so desperate to uphold, that it may drive the world to its breaking point. Violence is coming. Terror is culminating. But hope is reviving. •-•-•-•-•-•-•-•-•-•-•-•-•-•-•-•-• Welcome to Darkness of Ours. This is a continuation from a previous book called Light of Mine. I highly recommend that you read Light of Mine before starting this, but if you find that too long, too cringy, or too much of something else, there is an informational chapter at the beginning of this book. Read that. Have a great day/night/morning/evening/noon/midnight/any time! -Amaura •-•-•-•-•-•-•-•-•-•-•-•-•-•-•-•-• Started: 6-10-21 (June 10th) Ended: 9-19-21 (September 19th) -------------

NOTE: Currently switching his book from 1st POV to 3rd POV. There'll definitely be some inconsistencies, especially as half of the chapter are edited and the other half not (essentially being my old writing style from late 2020 - early 2021). The Finch Curse, destining a tragic fate to those who receive it. A curse that was never self explanatory. A curse that sounded almost fake, like those stupid playground stories, like Bloody Mary. Like every school's myth of a dead kid. Except it was so much more real. It was stated like any other myth, "on one's tenth birthday, if one is to encounter a finch before midnight, one will forever be cursed." It started like some twisted retelling of Cinderella, mixed with a foolish sense of horror. But it was true. And it was cruel.

I write a lot of gay stuff in my free time. If you like to read gay shit about countries then I guess that you've come to the right place. (Don't expect too much from this, most of the time I have no clue what the hell I'm doing) Also sorry in advance for any spelling mistakes, I wrote a lot of these weeks ago.
