The third book in the "Adventurers Series" as I call it, sees Lady Prana, Kurtis Cain, and Pixie continuing their quest to return Lady Prana back to her homeland. Due to Kurtis' grave injuries, he has to ask for the help of his long-lost brother, Karl, who has made a fearsome reputation as a Hunter, an adventurer who specializes in the capture or killing of high-value beings. While he may come off as rude or unapproachable, Kurtis sees him as trustworthy. But Lady Prana senses a great darkness in Karl, one that only she can see, one that awakens long-suppressed memories of her past. Although Kurtis vouches for his brother, she does not trust him, after all, she has a great bounty on her, and there would be many hunters that would most likely want to claim it. Is Karl the kind-hearted brute that Kurtis sees him as? Or is he just another human consumed by greed that would turn against his own family just to make some money? With Kurtis promising to protect her, and the somewhat reliable Pixie to watch over them, Lady Prana's greatest enemy is her fear.

The Fourth and Final Book of the Adventurer Series. Is Karl Wilson Denner a good man? He tries to be, or so he tells himself... After making up with Kurtis, Lady Prana, and Pixie, Karl goes back to his original, or in his case, new mission: escorting Lady Prana back to her homeland. Along the way, Kurtis and Lady Prana are given a glimpse into Karl's life and how he's fared over the years, but they are also witnesses to his unstable mind and personality. Nevertheless, the party of four venture to lands unknown where the only enemy for certain is themselves, or at least, just Karl and Kurtis' constant friction, but that's what brothers do, right?
