❝ Fortune never favours the fools who win bronze. ❞ Though exceedingly ironic, titles and formalities never really mattered to Prince Al-Zahrani. This wasn't because he was some anti-capitalist, blessed with a celestial halo of bronze, who revelled in campaigning against societal inequality. Truth-be-told, it was more that he was blissfully unaware of the extent of sheer privilege he'd been subject to growing up. Heir to the family business and of course, an avid shirker of responsibility, taking some time out to think after graduating from university was his preferred path forward. Twenty-two and rather out of touch, Al-Zahrani soon finds himself transfixed by an ethereal midnight-haired intellect, who contrasts against every life experience he'd been subject to. Renowned for sharp logic and beguiling dark eyes, self-starter Zaara Jhatoliya is bound to shatter the rose-tinted glasses that the commitment-phobe adores. Sociologists say opposites attract but very often, synergy has its perks when it comes to the non-negotiable fundamentals. Common ground is destined to become a much-needed but extremely scarce resource. Especially when a woman, whose life story revolves around digging herself out of poverty with a rented shovel, piques the interest of a man fed with an ancestral silver spoon. •--- ♛ ♕ ♛ ---• The Bill of Bronze, Book Three of Fortune's Fool Trilogy, KiwiAndKoalas, All rights reserved ©

❝ The question is, are you worth your weight in gold? ❞ Reputation is a sacred sheet of parchment at Forteux Academy. Handled carefully, it can become a bill of gold leading one to a life of riches. Yet a mere foot in the wrong direction can tear its dainty form until the misstepped individual goes tumbling down the very social hierarchy they were once so eager to ascend. When a mistake left behind from the crowned Queen's darkest night rocks up in the form of a handsome newcomer, Louisa Darling is more desperate than ever to keep everything under covers in her elite circle. The taste of jealousy, bitterness, hate and love is beyond dangerous in a world where everyone is used to getting what they want. And with one desperate to hide a secret that the other is determined to seek, things are bound to get damn complicated. Isn't that the saddest word? Almost. Something with so much potential... but just didn't happen. We were almost lovers. We almost lived. These were almost stories. ●●● [ a collection of poems ] highest ranking: #3 [[ 08_03_16 ]]

Victore Academy boarding school is a lot of things. To the outside world, it's the heaven of schools. For some students, it's an experience they'll never forget. For others, it's the place to start their careers. And maybe for a few, it's the peak of their lives and really as good as it's going to get for them. And for me... well, I'll need a bit more than this to talk about that. But before you step in, here's a few things that everyone makes note of: 1. The students have secrets. And money. It's hard to tell what more of, honestly. 2. Don't get a room on the West Side of the girl's dorms. The birds around that private property lake house downside from campus don't stop chirping at 5AM. It's unpleasant, to say the least. 3. Avoid Mr. Labadee's classroom at all costs outside of lessons, especially past fifth period. It's better off if you're left in the dark with this one. 4. That asshole from Spain that terrorizes all the young freshmen is not hot. However, girls do make note of the fact that he works out post seventh period and right before first, near the track field. 5. The Victor's Tournament happens every year for all the senior year students. It's a pretty big deal. 6. And I think Armin Rivers is probably going to kill someone before he wins it (and it's probably gonna be that Spanish asshole). cover by soundthealarm

***Published in the US with Wattpad Books and in the UK under the title 'LOVE, LOCKED DOWN' -- out now in ebook and paperback, and also audiobook in the UK!*** When the London Lane apartment block is put on lockdown, its residents are in for a whirlwind week. Imogen's stuck living with a one-night-stand in Number 14, and has to face the reality that maybe it's time to grow up. Upstairs, Isla and Danny are still in their honeymoon period, and this could make or break their new relationship; meanwhile, Zach and Serena's steady relationship is on tenterhooks, and pineapple on pizza might actually be the last straw. At Number 22, Olivia's Maid of Honour duties are really pushing her to the edge as a wedding-planning weekend has turned into an entire week... And speaking of weddings, this whole thing has made Ethan realise he wants to spend the rest of his life with Charlotte - if only he can surprise her with the perfect proposal. Follow these five stories of twenty-somethings through their week of quarantine, where romances will blossom, friendships fracture, and relationships are forged that could last a lifetime.
