Wattys 2019 Winner! "So when is it a problem? Oh, when you're in love." ----- Simon St. John is a liar, a cheater, a fraud -- but only because he has to be. Born with the ability to shape shift, his childhood was mostly spent learning to control his many faces in a world where most people only wear one. In fact, it was almost fun, in a way, until he met Valerie Love. Valerie Love is a college student fresh out of luck. For years she has watched her friends fall in and out of love, test the waters of relationships, earn their stripes in the wondrous field of romance. Valerie, however, has watched from the sidelines, passing face after face, meeting person after person without forming many connections. She has mostly given up on the idea of searching for love, until Simon lends her a new hope. Follow the strange story of college students Simon St. John and Valerie Love as one finally discovers the true definition of identity, and the other questions what it really is to be known.

[completed] Where do you go when you can't go home? Simply put, a crescendo is a building of intensity. Jules Calhoun is ready to begin her crescendo; Theo Bryne has been trying to move on from his. When the two come together, will they find the perfect harmony, or will they drown in a clash of discordant notes? Take a peek inside to find out if the soundtrack to the journey on which these two embark ends with a blissful duet or a mournful requiem. This dual perspective novel holds a story of rebellion, loss, love, and finding what truly makes you happy. I hope you'll join me on this next adventure! "Grayson, what are you doing?" I asked, slowly, walking into his house. He was sitting on a bar stool in the kitchen, facing the view of the city lights. Grayson was surrounded by open bottles of beers and alcohol. When he turned around, I did what most people wouldn't do, I looked directly into his eyes. His eyes were like a book, telling a story to ones who dared to look at them. Hurt, confusion, and sadness written all over his drooping, bloodshot eyes. He didn't answer me, making me step closer to him, "You okay?" I asked. "Yeah," he whispered with the rare smile I've seen only a few times through the time I've known him. Though this one is different. It was depressing. "No, you're not." He sighed. He didn't say anything back, but we both knew what he was going to say. He knew what he was feeling right now, even though he wasn't sober. He knew. "I wanna fix you." I whispered, shocking myself. His smile vanished, almost immediately. He looked away from me, his eyes back to the city lights, "Me too."He whispered. *•*•*•* Stereotypes shape today's society, especially with Grayson Watts. He's the schools bad boy, making girls go all over him, but I, Bailey Winters, or so I thought. I'm the girl that's usually too busy reading and doing homework than to go out and stalk guys. Somehow, Grayson and I cross paths and something about me made us become close enough to be called, 'friends.' With our new found friendship, I learned that bad boys, too, could be broken. {FIRST BOOK IN 'THE GIRL IN THE HOODIE' SERIES} {2014-2018} A girl moved to California two years ago. No one knows what she looks like. All they know is that she wears a hoodie. *~*~*~* "HOLY SHIT, NOAH! WHY THE FUCK WOULD YOU LET THE TROLLEY GO?! COME BACK! OH MY FUCKING LIFE, FIZZY DRINKS UP AHEAD--" BANG FIZZ POP "...am I dead?" I'm suddenly grabbed by the back of my hoodie and pulled up from the ground and out of the mess of the opened bottles of fizzy which had exploded when the trolley and I crashed into them. My hands instantly go to my hood and I sigh in relief to find that it hadn't fallen off through all of that. I turn my head and look the the employee who's holding me, his face completely red and the vein in his neck throbbing. "Wassup, dude?" I smile sheepishly. *~* {HIGHEST RANKINGS: #1 in Funny #1 in Sad And #1 in Cancer apparently }
