A fanfic focusing on the characters Mariah and Tessa from the daytime soap opera Young and the Restless. They aren't together on the show (at least not yet *fingers crossed*) so this is my version of how it could happen ;-D ***It's been a long, long time since I've written fan-fiction, so I've forgotten how that disclaimer thingamagig goes. Anyhoo, the characters of Mariah and Tessa (along with any other Y&R characters who might pop up or are at least mentioned) are the property of the CBS network and Young and the Restless.

Mariah works for Devon at the Hamilton-Winters Group as an assistant and music scout. Tessa is a singer/songwriter playing dive bars. What happens when the music brings them together? Will it also tear them apart? This work was inspired by a writing prompt provided by @OpusOne1996. My number 2 fan!

Mariah is a spunky reporter, who's family caters to the vampire world of Genoa City. Tessa's an enforcer for the Vampire High Council, in Genoa City to clean up a mess. But will a dark secret from Tessa's past get Mariah killed. Or will Tessa's love be enough to save her. This story and outline were put together by myself and Bmaglyn13, but the writing was me. Though she did read through it and suggest some changes. She also designed the cover. Please know that this is planned out for 10 chapters, and I'm taking care and time to write each one. The introduction is not one of the ten chapters, but it contains information pertinent to the storyline.

This follows the scenes with Mariah and the Murder Coven, where Mariah is forced to betray Tessa in order to protect Sharon. It is a stand alone and not meant to go longer than this one selection.
