Cada pequeño sonido, cada ruido lejano, hacía que su cuerpo temblara de terror, imaginando al secuestrador acercándose con sigilo, buscando su presa. El frío húmedo del sótano se aferraba a su piel, añadiendo una capa más de desasosiego a su situación desesperada. La esperanza se desvanecía con cada minuto que pasaba. Sabía que cualquier movimiento en falso podría delatar su escondite precario. Luchaba por controlar el pánico creciente que amenazaba con escaparse de su garganta en forma de un grito desesperado. Los minutos se estiraban como horas agonizantes, mientras se aferraba a la esperanza frágil de que este horror pronto llegaría a su fin, aunque temía profundamente cuál sería ese desenlace.
