"You know I love you right, KJ?" Ja'corey reminded the girl who was paying him no mind, digging into the food on her plate. He tapped her twice on the thigh to grab her attention.
"Mhmmmmm." She hummed, letting her head fall onto his shoulders, watching the scenery through the restaurant window.
"We gone have a bunch of kids." Corey muttered under his breath but unfortunately Kenaria heard him.
"Tuh. One is pushing it boy. But if we do, I hope it's a girl."
"What we gone name her?" He asked his girlfriend excitedly.
"Kamaria."
---------------------------
Kenaria felt like she would never be loved. Firstly, because the one person who did love and truly cherished her- died in her arms. Secondly, because it was like her versus the world. She was ostracized by everyone, them now seeing her as a threat and hazard- rather than a scarred, hurt girl.
She just wanted somebody to love and understand her. It felt like no one would, until him. Ja'Corey. She despised him with a passion, and with great reason.
She just never would've that thought that hate would turn into love. Ever. Love came with a lot of things, she didn't even think she was capable of that ever again.
Turns out she was wrong. Very, very wrong.
