Ragnar still spends most of his time trying to keep stubborn Vikings alive only now he's doing it on dragon back and away from Berk. He's a fully trained healer now and life on Dragon's Edge is definitely going to give him plenty more experience. What starts off as a seemingly simple adventure to explore new lands and find new dragons soon uncovers a plot that may be bigger than all of them.
