A short story about a girl on a train with one mysterious lady across from her

Time travel exists. What will it hold in store for Phoebe and Owen? Rarely do things ever work out well when time travelling, but their journey might be an exception. Likewise, it might not.

I can't take credit for this idea. I've just seen a lot of people writing little snippets like this and I decided to give it a try so I hope you guys like it. It's basically you're born with a countdown and it tells you the time until you meet you're true love or until you're first kiss or until you die. That sort of thing. So yeah...

Amelie and her mother have been banished to the outskirts of the dark forest. Frightening creatures with tentacles as arms roam within. Somehow, the fates of these characters and these creatures will intertwine and certain mysteries will be revealed along the way.
