"You don't look guilty," he murmurs, stepping in close. "That's because I'm not," I whisper back. His fingers brush my jaw, too rough to be kind. "No. You're worse than guilty." "Then what am I?" He smiles, cruel and gorgeous. "Unrepentant. And I like that. I want to see what it takes to make you beg for forgiveness." I smile back, just as cruel. "You'll die waiting." ----------------------------- Four boys. One lie. No forgiveness. I lied on the stand. Not by mistake. Not under pressure. I did it on purpose, and I did it for something I wanted more than justice. A billionaire went to prison. The world moved on. I disappeared. Now I'm back. Enrolled at the same elite university his son and his best friends attend. I thought I could stay quiet. I thought if I kept my head down, the past would stay buried. I was wrong. They remember me. They know what I did. And they want revenge served cold, cruel, and up close. So they drag me into their world of power, privilege, and manipulation. They move me into their house. Watch me. Corner me. Study me like I'm just another secret to uncover. But I've kept darker things hidden than they can imagine. And the more they try to break me, the more they start to fracture. Because obsession works both ways. And none of us are walking away clean. A dark, slow-burn reverse harem where enemies blur into lovers and lies are foreplay. No MM. No forgiveness. Just control, chaos, and the girl who never planned to survive, only to win.

[Currently discontinued] I lost everything before I even knew how to live. Orphaned, cast into the care of relatives who never wanted me, I learned early that the world doesn't notice when you disappear. To everyone around me, I am quiet, polite, fragile. I stay in the corners. I smile when I must. People say I'm sweet, obedient, unassuming - perhaps they are right. Perhaps they don't see the ways I watch, the choices I make in silence. I move carefully. I observe. I wait. Some doors, once opened, are better left undiscovered. They called me a tragedy. Perhaps they were right - or perhaps they never truly understood. 'The most prevalent question on my mind will always be "Whats the difference between being alive and living?"' -extract from chapter 1 (Noises) 'Yet one thing that has stunned me throughout it all is how alone I would feel in such a large place full of people.' -extract from chapter 3 (St.Edmunds) 'I slowly sink down onto the tiles, and I want nothing more than to scream. To let out all my pain, my anger, my emotions. But I can't. The consequences of such action scares me too much.' -extract from chapter 8 (A baby bird) _________________________________________ Hello all, I'm just letting you know that the basis of this book means a lot to me, and I hope that some of you can resonate with it, too. I aim to discuss topics that are often not talked about in an attempt to show people that they are not alone and that they don't need to feel so ever. Although I must also warn you that some chapters in this book may all of a sudden become a little to real and personal, but I do not aim to distress any of you so if you begin to feel overwhelmed please reach out either to those close to you, or even use the comments to vent. Overall, I hope you enjoy the book and connect with it just as much as I do when writing it. Also, please feel free to leave feedback and let me know what you think of it. But of course, please don't take my work and use it as your own. This book is, as I said, very meaningful, and it should not be tarnished in such a way.
