I've been reading a lot of arknights fics, and I've decided to create my own. Since English is not my first language, i take time to make a chapter, so my English may not be good. I'm writing in English to practice and to reach a wider audience. As I'm just starting out with writing, I would appreciate any feedback on my mistakes so I can improve. This story is a bit like Arknights meets Death Stranding, since the job of a 'Catastrophe Messenger' and general situation is strangely similar to a 'Porter'. It will operate almost completely independently from the plot of the game itself. This story is thus aimed more towards readers who like to immerse themselves into a unique perspective of the world of Arknights and not into a recreation of the in-game plot. So if you like Arknights, but can't wrap your head around the game's plot, then this story should fit for you. (Definetly not an excuse for the fact that the author is just interested in the general worldbuilding itself and not the game's plot directly.) As such, mistakes are to be expected, for this is my first experimental dive into the world of Arknights. Feel free to correct them if found. The 'Mature' tag is only for occasional descriptions of injuries and blood, as Messengers often face dangerous situations that can cause injury and sometimes even death. Every night I lay in bed, I like to imagine myself in another world. The world I most find myself in is Terra, the world of Arknights. I always find myself dreaming of the world, the powers, the amazing characters, and the beautiful locations found throughout. One night, I find myself dreaming of a Lungmen bar. I close my eyes to let my mind create a better picture. As I open my eyes, I find myself inside that very same bar. The scenario I thought of while in bed has come true, and it appears that my dreams have become my backstory. As I try to understand my situation a little bit better, a familiar rich tiger stumbles into the bar dead drunk, with her sights on me. NOTE: This is a rewrite of another story of mine of the same name with some major and minor things changed between the two. I will be focusing on the rewrite rather than the orginial story.
