I wasn't looking for anyone.
I was an international student, lonely and struggling, surviving day by day, volunteering to feel something, anything.
Then he appeared. A stranger, quiet, closed off, yet somehow present. He drove me to my first volunteering event, barely speaking, yet somehow I felt seen. I wasn't looking for love, I wasn't even sure I knew what it meant, but I was intrigued.
Over time, curiosity became connection. Connection became attachment. And slowly, without me realizing it, I fell for him.
Now I'm back in my home country, carrying a heart that can't let go. I love him not the way he loves me, but the way I see him, and the way I hope he's happy. Some loves aren't returned, but they leave marks you can't erase.
