Stuck In Time
By: Emily Maglin
Prologue
I slightly moved my thumb over the button. Nothing happened at first. Then I felt a swirling sensation. Almost like ten tornadoes were throwing me from one to another. Everything went still. Perfectly still. I stood on a grassy field. The wind was blowing gently, the sky was blue. Everything seemed perfect. I scanned my surroundings: trees, a shimmering lake, white fluffy clouds. Nothing out of the ordinary. I looked down, I was barefoot, and was wearing, a mammoth skin tarp?
“What th-?” I began to state. Then an ear-shattering roar rippled across the meadow. Just my luck.
