one adjective to describe edward kaspbrak would be "gifted". unlike other kids, however, his gift wasn't an amazing brain capacity for math or scholarship earning athleticism; his gift was seeing adjectives that described how people were feeling. between the budding sexualities of both himself and his friends and the gift that was graciously bestowed onto him by some mysterious means, some serious, in richie's words, "shit" was about to "go down". the only adjective to describe eddie's situation was "festive", one of richie's favorite words. - trigger warning: gaslighting, drug use, language, mentions of schizophrenia, mentions of homicide, family death, homophobia, etc etc

They kicked at his stomach once again, and he started to cough out blood. It was then I knew I couldn't just stand there, so I took the only thing in hand. My skateboard. And ran towards them. They eventually ran off and I helped the other boy up. And that's when I realized it was Richie Tozier.
