One late night, at the peak of dawn, I wake up to the sound of glass shattering. The sound was distant but being the very light sleeper I am, I woke up almost immediately. I'm feeling tired, light headed, and now frustrated. I pull off the cotton covers of my bed with little to no energy and shuffle my feet towards my bedroom window. "What the hell?" I manage to blurt out loud, surrounded by clock ticks and the snores of my father. I rub my eyes quickly to make sure I'm seeing right. On the edge of the front lawn of my house, near the rose bushes, lies a body. The body seems to belong to a young teenager close to my age. A male. His face faced downwards on the yellow-green grass and his arms flared out on his sides. He lay so motionless and so still. I gulp and my breath shallows as the thought runs through my mind.
