John's never had a patient quite as broken as Sherlock Homes. Or as ignorant of the fact that he is, indeed, broken. He speaks rarely, and when he does it's this torrential flow of insults and hurt memories and sadness. He speaks like he doesn't know that he's broken yet, like he thinks he's fine, and superior to everyone else in the room. Maybe he is. John doesn't know. Maybe he's not as beautiful, and clever, and graceful as he believes. Maybe he isn't some kind of ethereal creature that John has had the honour of beholding. Maybe he's just broken. And useless. And alone. John doesn't think so. John thinks he's everything, broken man and all. * Sherlock's never done anything quite like dancing. When he was there, wood springing under his feet, soft and warm and secure, he was happy. Sure. But he didn't know then that he'd give anything to be able to dance again. To have the pain of crushed toes, blisters, aching and biting all the fucking time. He didn't know he'd miss it like he misses breathing. But he does. Sherlock forgets to breathe, sometimes.

Sherlock is not an expert in love. They get along well, and when Sherlock begins to receive mysterious notes from an anonymous source, John teams up with him to solve the crimes being committed. John Watson, a kindhearted and loyal boy, meets Sherlock, a arrogant high-functioning sociopath, who changes his life forever. Sherlock is confused by the close friendship that is steadily growing between the two, and can't bring himself to end it. Soon he can see their relationship is changing, rivalry crumbling away to reveal true, pure, and heartfelt love. John, on the other hand, is hit the hardest by this change, his low self confidence making him blind to Sherlock's advances. Will their love for each other, or more importantly, the foundations of their friendship, survive the onslaught of disproval? Will the homophobic comments wriggle it's way through the cracks in their tolerance and turn their feelings into ash that can blow away at the slightest breeze of doubt?

Sherlock and John start school at Lauriston Gardens boarding school together, and before long a female student is found dead. Sherlock Holmes is a teen with a curse. Well, not exactly a curse- in fact, some call it a gift. His mind automatically analyzes any item or scene in front of him, unwelcome words popping into his sight and providing him with information he doesn't need. However, his pain and problems are lessened when he meets John Watson, a guy with a past that could bring nightmares to any reasonable person. Together, they grow close while sipping steaming cups of tea in a local cafe- and also by working together to solve the brutal murder of a peer.

Meet Sherlock Holmes- a 15 year old sociopath; arrogant, tactless, rejected, but enjoys a life of solitude and deducing. Meet John Watson- a 15 year old footballer; quiet, popular, caring, but endures a life of isolation and oppression. A transfer from a state school, John pushes open the door of Room 22 to find the most crucial part of his life he never knew existed; a teenage boy with the mind of a philosopher, who just so happens to be able to precisely analyse every detail of John's life, whilst being able to piss everyone else off at the exact same time.
