A rewrite of my first story, "Superman Man of Steel." The growing Clark Kent is hailed and challenged by dangerous forces to prove humanity's worth. This test will put him up against rich men, corrupt men, monsters, and many forces of evil that will test even his own relationship with humanity. In the end, his actions are what decides the fate of everyone on earth and... krypton? (I do not own any of these characters. Following the events of "World's Apart," Batman holds himself accountable for Superman's current predicament. He is obligated to make things right. With the aid of Martian Manhunter and Wonder Woman, the trio would set out on a quest to heal Superman from his critical condition. It all goes on array, though, resulting in a Superman with no memories and the release of Zod from the Phantom Zone. For situations like these, the trio would need the aid of another (Green Lantern). The unity of these heroes would end up creating the very thing the world needs, protectors. Would they be enough, is the question.
