NOTE : It's a sequel to "Lost" and cannot be read as a standalone. ● ♡ ● "Are there any stars?" She inquires and he doesn't understand what she meant. There were no stars. "Can you see the moon up there?" She continues. There was no moon. "It's dark." Ayansh replies when he sees her waiting for his response. Inaaya turns her gaze to him, a peculiar look swimming in her eyes. "Exactly." Ayansh looks back at her, more confusion getting painted over his face. "It's dark. No stars, no moon, nothing." Inaaya adds solemnly. "That's how we're and that's how things between us stand. I trusted you and you broke it and that's the end. There's no hope or light here. All there ever will be around is despair." Ayansh listens to her and after a moment, carefully, takes a step ahead and a slight relief washes over him when she doesn't flinch. "Look up again." He whispers and after a little reluctance, she follows. "Surely it's dark," he says as she watches the sky ardently. "But it doesn't promise to be dark forever," he murmurs lowly and her heart thuds against her ribcage at the determination his voice held. "It's dark today but tomorrow? Maybe tomorrow, there will be stars and the moon too. Maybe tomorrow, you can see the light and the hope too. Maybe tomorrow, the despair would fade away." 🥀 That's the thing about soulmates; they always find a way to each other. ALWAYS. Ayansh Mehra and Inaaya Rai were a little naive, a little foolish in love but oh, they were so in love and it would be a shame if they couldn't find their way back to each other, to the arms they belong, to their HOME.

"Inaaya," he calls out, a certain urgency underlying in his tone. "Don't ever fall in love with me." She doesn't say as a moment passes between them and then, she snorts. "Haha.. itne bure din bhi nahi aaye hai mere. (I'm not yet having such bad days)." She mocks and laughs playfully. 🥀 Love, two syllables, four letters but carries with it the power to move worlds. The more you receive, the less it feels and even when you think you're better off without it, a part of you can't help but crave for it. Ayansh Mehra has craved for love throughout his life. The younger sibling, the second best, the awkward one in crowds, the shadow, the one who wants to prove himself but always falls short so when his brother asks something of him, he's quick to grab the opportunity. The task? Make Inaaya Rai fall in love with him and then break her heart. Inaaya Rai has a past, one she can't forget nor escape. It defines her, influences her decisions, makes her build a shell around herself. When she's forced to work with Ayansh Mehra for a month, she couldn't wait to get done with it because the last thing she wants is to be associated with the guy who had the audacity to propose her after an accidental meet. But destiny seemed to have other plans or were they really the plans of destiny or manipulation of it? After all, wasn't everything a lie?

❝What sin did I commit in my past life that I have to tolerate you in this life?" "A very grave one for which you're still paying." She replied in an overexaggerated manner. "You're too stubborn." He gritted out. "You're too obsessed." "You're the most annoying, obnoxious and bratty person I've met in my twenty seven years of life." He said, provoking her. "And you're the most narcissistic, petty and irritating person I've met in my twenty six years of life." She retorted. "You are too childish." "You are too stuck up." "You- fuck!" He cursed. "It feels like a comedy circus with us hurling abuses and insults at each other." He said tossing his head back and rubbing his hand over his face tiredly. "Can't help when we've a clown in your form.❞ ~ Highest Rankings : #1 in understanding #1 in emotions #1 in emotional #2 in drama #9 in romance

"Don't even try to think to betray me again, Mehra. This time I will not just ruin you but will burn you down into ashes." I threatened him while locking my fingers around his neck. "And I won't let you ruin me again. If you will burn me down, I will make sure to scorch you too with my ashes" he breathed, pulling me closer into him "Don't play with darkness Mehra. You will lost yourself in black hole" I reminded him, tightening my grip on his neck "I am used to hope amidst the darkness. You should be afraid in case my light ruins your darkness, Rai" his hands left my waist, he stepped away from my body and walked away. I stood there in crowd, baffled, infuriated in the middle of the hall, white spotlight adoring my hourglass gown, lighting me like a star in a dark sky. * Ayra Rai and Aarav Mehra, two dejected souls, will share their story, dreams, pain and love. They will bring the lost pieces of each other together, try to mend those hidden scars and will love in darkest. But in this journey, they will find a better version of themselves.
