Fifteen years ago Hybrids were given rights. Now a danger has overtaken the city. An illness turning random citizens into villains and killing them once they have carried out their deeds. Someone needs to stop the unidentified villain before the city is torn to ruins. Enter Grian, an English teacher working at a local high school who has to be a superhero the moment the city is in trouble. All he wanted was to live a normal life and possibly date his coworker. Cue, Scar an art teacher with a heart of gold and a reckless side who enjoys fighting crime with his partner Cute-Guy. After all, Scar was never one to live a normal life.

If getting into dangerous situations everyday to see a special somebody was what it took, Grian would do whatever it takes. When Grian was young, the streets adopted him for most of his youth, until a young woman who goes by the name of Cleo came and rescued the rest of his life, to an extent, and gives him a new purpose for his future. One day, a terrible accident occurs and Grian is forced to realise that his life isn't just all fun and games like he imagined it was. When he meets Scar, the doctor and combined fire fighter, his life lights up like a light bulb turning on. Suddenly the reckless things he does might not be so bad if he can see doc Scar. This story starts right after chapter 15 of Double Hearted by Kitsuneisi on Tumblr. Cover art was also created by Kitsuneisi. After Grian is released from the hospital things aren't the same between Hotguy and Cuteguy. Hotguy trying to make up for his mistakes leads to an unexpected discovery that could change the lives of mutants everywhere, and changes his relationship with Grain and Cuteguy. They grow closer as the world around them changes. This is also my first fanfiction in 5-6 years I want to note that I am a physically disabled man myself and an ambulatory wheelchair, cane, and brace user, so a lot of what I write in this about experiencing disability is based on my own personal experiences. I, however, do not have a neuromuscular condition like Scar and this will definitely not be accurate to his real condition.

Scar is quite new to the highschool, but on the other hand, Grian has been going to the forsaken school for what feels like eternity. Scar finds himself being taken in with the 'popular crowd' quite quickly, whilst Grian accepts his fate amongst the so called 'commoners' and hiding among one another to get through the day. When Grian catches sight of Scar, everything changes.. As for Scar?.. You just have to see :) Will the friends groups accept eachother? Fights breaking out? Friendships ruined and chances destroyed?
