However, as hard she may, she would always be second to one- her older sister, Kanae. Seeking university as an escape from living a life in the shadow of her sister, she attended the best school in the country, where she believed no one could rival her spot of number 1. Until the crown that was supposed to be hers was promptly snatched away from by Giyu Tomioka.

Although she may have reeked of cynicism and anger, one man in the Demon Slayer Corps was able to change that. This is the story about how the Water PIllar was able to make the Insect Pillar fall head over heels for him. This is an alternate universe where Kanae Kocho is never killed by Upper Moon 2, Doma, but instead by a different weaker demon which means Shinobu no longer had to sacrifice herself for revenge.
