But what no one was expecting was for an army of dragon trappers to attack, kidnapping the weak and vulnerable while slaughtering anyone who got in their way. Hiccup, still not used to his prosthetic, was lucky enough to fall under the 'weak' category. Along with a few others of his tribe, he is taken to the base of Viggo Grimborne and chosen to be a part of the next group of test subjects for a gruesome experimentation. A mixture, or potion if you will, made up of many ingredients from dragons of all kinds. The main and most important ingredient: diluted changewing acid. When this mix is injected into the veins of a human an incredibly disturbing fate is sealed upon them. They will be slowly transformed into a dragon.

Blood hit the floor with a dirty splatter. "Raph," Leo choked out," p-promise...Ugh, promise me...that y-you'll take good c-care of her..." He struggled to speak. The blade in his chest, cutting into his lungs. He let out an airy squeak, trying to suck in as much air as he could. Raph roughly rubbed the tears from his eyes, causing him to see spots, "No! Shut up! You're not leaving! Not now! I HAVE to repay you! Oh, I was such a horrid brother!" He roars, holding the back of Leo's bloodied paw to his plastron. Leo musters a weak smile, as a pool of blood forms, "It's okay..." He whispers, the light fading from his eyes, but leaving a slight smile on his face.
