There was the ill-tempered princess who ran away after ripping the tapestry and burning her mother's hair and lived with the witch of the forest. There was the haunting spirit who no one believed in and lives with the Boogeyman himself. There was the healer who took after her mother in the tall tower. Then, there was the Dark Dragon Rider. What if the stories we knew didn't go as what we thought they would. What if there was no happy endings for our heroes? What if there weren't any heroes? Warning: Dark? Cursing? Hiccup... pulled you into his lap and asked, "Yes, my darling?" "Why do you love me? I mean, I am the freak...-" "(Y/ N)," Hiccup stopped you. He tightened his grip on you and pulled your head towards him so your ear rested against his chest, where his strong beating heart was. "I love you more than my own life. You're perfect just the way you are. You're beautiful, kind, encouraging... loving, intelligent, and so much more. It would take me an eternity to list everything about you that I loved." "What about the things you didn't like about me?" you asked, in a weak, fragile voice. Hiccup hated seeing you like this: so frail, so vulnerable... "There is nothing. I love everything about you, (Y/ N). Nothing anyone can say or do will ever change that," he said, sincerely, brushing a strand of hair out of your face.

(Y/n) is an almost ordinary four year old girl. The only thing that's really different about her is that she can talk to... Dragons! She gets kicked out for this reason and in the middle of a blizzard. A mother Flightmare finds her and takes care of her along with her hatchlings. Five years later they are found and killed all except a ten year old girl and a ten year old male Flightmare dragon. Ten years later they are caught by Eldric who claims her as his wife and traps her dragon. A twenty year old dragon rider finds this ship and attacks it with his friends, what he doesn't expect to find is a scared twenty year old girl and her Flightmare dragon.
