During their battle, Takemichi learned things he didn't quite understand, and as he was about to pass out, he took this opportunity to grab Mikey's hand so he could activate the leap. He wasn't sure if he would go further back in the past during those 2 years or not even return in the future since he died saving Mikey. But all of the sudden, Takemichi felt a spark through his nerves and all went pitch black.
