After Dean gives a blind man shelter during a storm, a friendship begins forming between the two. Dean begins to notice that something is off about Castiel, and he can't figure out what it is, but that doesn't stop the growing attraction Dean has for him.

Dean Winchester is nineteen years old and only a year out of high school when he gets sent to the hospital after a argument with his father. Nothing serious occurred, but Dean was required to spend the next few days under observation. While he is spending his time in the hospital of utter boredom, he meets Castiel, a young man the same age as him as a patient of cancer. Forming a quick bond, he begins visiting the boy even when he gets out, but is something more going on?

And his wish very soon comes true, when his father allows him to go. He meets a young human boy named Dean. He grows quite fond of this boy, and they become fast friends. One day, he sneaks out of Heaven using the one thing that can take him from Heaven to Earth and back again. Tragically, he loses it on Earth, and is stuck there with Dean. So he grows up on Earth with his best friend, while his family tries to find him. But he soon learns that Dean is more than his best friend, and he also learns that Dean feels the same way toward this angel who lost his wings.

Prince Castiel of Paradina has always followed his father's orders, and he's always wanted to protect his people, which is why he didn't argue when his father told him he would be escorting his sister Hannah to the kingdom across the lake for her to marry Prince Dean of Terren. Hannah is nervous, and so is Castiel, but Sam and Dean Winchester and their friends help put the two of them at ease. But not long after their arrival, an attempt is made on Hannah's life. It is unsuccessful, but the entire castle is now on guard, and Castiel must find out who would want his sister dead and why... all the while dealing with the feelings that are emerging for Dean Winchester.
