Always being the target of the boys' teasing, she's never found them worth her time and energy. Y/N is childhood friends with Phillips and when the boys find this out and the surprising truth that a girl can play ball better than half of them, they have a lot of resentment towards her. But Benny and Smalls are on a mission to have her play with them at the sandlot even against their friends' wishes.
