"The Veres Foundation - Using our art for the betterment of humanity." The Veres Foundation is a multi-national, American based corporation, with fingers in every major enterprise. Appliances, smart phones, television, cars, medical and bio-technology. This is all to fund their true purpose - the study of the Extraordinary By their definition, the Extraordinary are things that appear fantastical, but can be explained using science. They seek to use the Extraordinary as a means of control, foot-soldiers and mercenaries armed with the best they have to offer, serving out the company's will. As 2029 nears its end, 5 people try to escape and resist the evils of the Foundation - A pair of lab-grown children, far stronger than anything the company has made before; a washed up detective, out for vengeance; and a mercenary who can't pick a side... and one, who's simply out of place. Jebediah Nicholson. a 24 year old man with a peculiar lucky streak, serving as a Sergeant First Class in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. unbeknownst to him, supernatural things lurk underneath the surface of his life, influencing not just him, but the entire world. He will discover things about the world and himself that will change him for better, and worse. This war just got interesting. this story may take awhile to complete, as i have a job and still attend school. this story is inspired by events from a shared storyline/universe that me and my friends collaborated on during high school.
