Elena interprets this as full rejection, but Ben reassures Elena that they'll work through it when Elena's sober. Under the advice of Lola, Elena refuses to give up on her and Ben. Ben tells Elena that if she can kiss him in front of everyone, completely sober, he'll go out with her again. Elena then kisses Ben outside the Vic, and Ben agrees to go on a date with her again, with Elena joking that she doesn't want another date after that kiss.
