This Fanfiction is a series of One-shots about young Max Lightwood-Bane and growing up as a warlock in a Shadowhunter community. This story was made before Rafael Lightwood Bane was introduced so it is a different timeline. I do not own art for cover.

(This is book two of a Malec AU called The Family Plan. Read that one first, thank you!) Seventeen year old Rafael Lightwood-Bane has a lot on his plate these days. School, approaching graduation, work, embarrassing parents and a boyfriend is enough to keep anyone busy, but on top of that he also has a insufferable little brother to deal with. He's gotten pretty used to catering to the needs of said brother, but when a once in a life time opportunity arrives, Rafael may have to choose between Max's happiness, or his own. Max Lightwood-Bane isn't what most people would call 'normal'. His days usually consist of attending protests, living inside Hot topic, and trying to convince his dad that gluten free is the only truly healthy way of life. He has no friends, but that never seems to bother him when all he really needs is his parents and big brother Rafael. Though lately, it seems all Rafael wants to do is spend time with his boyfriend and work alone in his art studio. He can feel Rafe, slowly slipping away and what he feared would happen one day was finally coming to pass. Demons of the past are slowly creeping up on both these boys, and while one is ready to face them head on, the other is afraid of drowning in them. Alec and Magnus have been married for six years and couldn't be happier. With Alec's bakery taking off and Magnus's interior design business starting, life is pretty hectic. Alec wants to start a family, much to Magnus's hesitance. A child might be too much for them right now. However, all thoughts of that go out the window when they go with Jace to his old Orphanage. There, they meet two young boys, Max age eight, and Rafael age ten. Alec and Magnus instantly fall in love with these kids, and takes them into their home as foster parents. The road of parenthood is a bumpy one though, between work, Max's picky eating, and Rafael's obvious distaste for Alec and Magnus. Will they ever become the family they wished for, or will the children's past make them unable to accept Alec and Magnus into their lives?
