Cortelia Windsor has been used to a life of luxury and royalty ever since she was born. Well, I guess being the Queen's second cousin through marriage doesn't hurt. But when this seventeen year old girl moves to Hemlock Grove, Pennsylvania she meets a young slightly sociopathic rich Upyr and her whole world is tipped upside down, literally.

"Well Eva." Roman said, putting his pants back on and zipping them. "For someone I really hate, you sure can fuck." "I can say the same thing about you." you replied, quickly putting your underwear back on and searched for your clothes. Roman got up, grabbed a cigarette from his pack and lit it. "How about a deal? We spend nights together, just sex." You turned your head and looked at him. "No strings attached?" He shook his head and grinned. "Nope." You grabbed your shirt from his bedroom floor, put it on and then shrugged. "Sure, deal."

Hemlock Grove...a town located in Pennsylvania. One would think that it was a normal town that is practically owned by one of the richest families to have ever lived there. Though looks can be deceiving. Among the normal folk of this small town, are supernatural beings that have found a way to blend in quite well, living life as a normal person would. No one knows who is truly a supernatural being and who is a normal person. The supernatural beings have made it quite difficult to pinpoint them, because they have perfected the art of fitting in so well. Alyse Stormnight is a normal teen trying to live her life in Hemlock Grove...well as far as she knows she's normal. All her life Alyse has had what appeared to be a normal childhood growing up. She had everything she could've ever wanted. Loving parents, a nice home to live in. Though she had many things and was priveliged, she never took it for granted. The only thing that Alyse didn't have growing up was a lot of friends, especially friends of the opposite gender. As she got older Alyse noticed that the boys wouldn't give her a second glance. It seemed to Alyse that all the boys are afraid to look her way, yet she can't seem to understand why. Roman Godfrey is a well off kid who is due to inherit the Godfrey business when he comes of age. He has everything he could ever want in life. Only thing that he wants now, that he's waiting for is to claim Alyse as his own. When Roman catches other guys looking in Alyse's direction he grows extremely possessive and finds a way to make sure that they never take what he feels truly belongs to him. To Roman Godfrey, Alyse Stormnight is right fully his. And he will do anything to keep her away from the eyes of others. Even if it means taking her and keeping her as his own captive possession.

This is the sequel to His captive possession. If you have not done so, please go and read His captive possession before reading this one. It will be less confusing after reading the first book. Alyse has been on the run from Roman for about two months after the death of her friend Letha Godfrey. Just as Alyse was beginning to think that she was in the clear, she finds herself being proven wrong once again as she spots a determined Roman standing within a couple feet from her. Upon discovering that Roman is close to finding her, Alyse does the only thing that she knows how to do...run and hope that Roman is thrown off her trail again.
