Flug and Demencia both are in high school. They are first years and are in the same class. Black Hat is in another class, also a first year (he is also one of the eldes of the first years). Demencia is completely in love with Black Hat from first sight, even when they've NEVER talked. Demencia alway makes Flug do all kind of stupid favors for her to make Black Hat notice her, but one day her plan backfires.

Flug is no stranger to sleep deprivation, but when his body grows too weak for him to simply push through it anymore, what will he do? After an incident in the lab Black hat takes notice of his scientist's sickly and unproductive state and demands Flug does something about it. When he learns that he's the one who's been overworking his employee to the point of illness, he can't help but feel responsible. What are these strange new feelings of guilt and sympathy he's suddenly feeling for his poor scientist? And after an accidental touch, he also starts to feel something else that he can't quite put his finger on. what can he do with these feelings? and how will he cure them when the doctor is the one who's doing this to him? He demands that Flug must "fix" him, but what cure could the scientist possible whip up for his boss? Flug thinks of a "treatment plan" that will help them both. i've buckled under my desire to make a cringey ship story for villainous. hope you enjoy me having no self respect (a few of the concepts in this story were inspired by @anxious_bee 's "Claimed" and "Gray War", such as what flug looks like and the concept of tracking heartbeats). They're also the reason i let myself do this) - Black Hat Inc. is, for the first time in a long time, in some big trouble. A hero has successfully beaten out Demencia and 505, sent Black Hat far away enough for him to not intervene by giving him some hero fodder to fight, and is currently throttling Dr. Flug. It seems like all hope is lost. The hero rips Flug's bag off tauntingly, revealing the frightened man beneath. But he begins to change. Black Hat returns just in time to see Flug going berserker mode on the hero, and something in him makes a decision: He wants to see it again.

A new patient arrives at the asylum where Flug works. The doctor is offered to take care of him, but refuses. Except when his coworker, who was assigned to watch over this mysterious newcomer instead, does not respond to calls while still being in the patient's room, the doctor with a paper bag on his head is left without a choice.
