It has been three years since Will Byers and his friends managed to close the gates to the Upside Down for good. Now he's off at college with a new life. Unfortunately, he's pulled right back into the mix when he receives a call from the presumed-dead Max Mayfield. Now he has to go back to Hawkins and hope nothing gets out of hand. Mike Wheeler hasn't talked to Will Byers in a year or so now, but when he shows up in Hawkins with this good-looking, muscle-filled, smirk-wearing guy by his side, he can't help but feel a little jealous.
