During his battle against Nyx to free Ingvild from her control, Dai seized the opportunity, taking credit for the victory and proclaiming himself Ingvild's "savior." With no further use for Issei, Dai struck him down, driving the Dragon Slayer Holy Sword, Ascalon, into his chest, seemingly killing him. But fate had other plans. From the depths of despair, Issei awakened something... something demonic. A power so terrifying that even a Devil May Cry at its presence.
