In the town of Gotherdam, a chilling legend warns of a treacherous cliff and the 'magical sand' that lures the mindless to their doom. Forbidden to venture into that prohibited place, young Sofia and Shawn defy the warning, drawn to the forbidden beauty of the place near that cliff. Their secret rendezvous, however, becomes a tragic turning point when Sofia confesses her love, and Shawn's hesitation leads to an unthinkable tragedy. Haunted by guilt and regret, Shawn seeks solace, only to encounter an old woman.
