He stands a few yards away, with his fingers clenched and his jaw set. A gentle breeze blows his dark chocolate hair off his forehead, showing his angry brows and glaring eyes. A slight shudder runs down my spine as his eyes dance down my body shamelessly. I blush thinking how I had done the same. Suddenly he takes a step forward and on instinct I take many quick steps back, putting distance between us. My heartbeat picks up, thumping louder as my blood pumps faster throughout my body. He growls lowly in warning as I take more hesitant steps away. I turn to the side when two strong arms stop me, I struggle against their holds at first until, but a chilling growl stops everything in its path. Instantly the hands let go and the two men back off. "Why are you running?" A deep voice asks, he stands directly behind me, gently caressing my arm, running his middle finger up and down twice. With my lack of response he grasps my left arm, shaking me with black filled eyes. "Why." He growls. "...t-they agreed that once they're safely back to you, that I c-could leave." My voice is quiet, I look down at the dirt embarrassed at my stuttering. He grips my arm tighter causing me to look up into his dark grey eyes. "That agreement has changed, mate."

Werewolves exist. Vampires, warlocks, faeries and every other creature you've heard about under the night sky along with them. Along with these creatures, in the shadows, the hunters lurk in the edges, where light meets dark, hunting down anything and anyone who dares to cross the line. The Magi Hunter is only one of these hunters, and would never have told you her story herself. That is why I'm telling it to you for her. Because even hunters need to know not everything you see through the dark needs to be killed, and not all hunters stay only at the edges of the darkness beyond. *Completed* *Unedited* With every step he took towards me, I took one back until I hit the edge of his bed. A deep growl rumbled from his throat and I tried to make myself smaller in hopes that he would leave me alone. Being a human, I stood no chance against this beast in front of me. He would tear me apart. His muscles rippled with ease from underneath his shirt; his stance towered over me; his eyes colored with darkness; and I knew he was struggling to keep his wolf contained. "Kitten, don't act all scared. This is what you wanted, isn't it? You've always fantasized about what it would be like to be with a beast like me." His hand approached me slowly and then brushed my hip. I gasped. His teeth grazed my neck and I unconsciously leaned my head away, so he could have more room. "Answer me!" he growled. My chest furiously moved up and down as I tried to calm myself. I shook my head. "Well, Kitten, you're MINE. Whether you like it or not." From a very young age, Mae has been told by her father to stay away from werewolves. They were too rough, too dangerous for humans, but she always had a fascination with them. Damon was the Alpha of the Night Bane pack and he was exactly what Mae's father told her he would be - rough and dangerous. *Not my cover art @ Jojoesart
