I've seen plenty of Grey's/Station 19 fanfictions about Carina and Maya and I absolutely love their relationship. I can see them being great parents and I've thought about 'what if they were foster parents to a teenage girl?' This is my idea: Carina and Maya become foster moms to a 15 year-old girl named Leila. She's been in the system since she was 9 due to her abusive Dad killing her older sister and her mom abandoning her. Even though they are not married, Carina and Maya are doing a joint adoption. They get Leila in season 16 of Grey's Anatomy (roughly the end of season 3 of Station 19) and by the end of season 16 they've had her for about 6 months.
