A few weeks after parent's day, Max seemed a little more friendly towards the counselors. Nobody understood, and nobody really cared. As long as Max was being less of a dickhead. The two people who understood were Gwen and David, who had been keeping the fact that they had a new grumpy son a secret for almost a month now.

The music blasts louder in Max's headphones, as the tears come down his face. He doesn't want to admit it, but he doesn't want to go home when summer ends. When will the others notice, or will he finally crash and end up doing something he'll regret?

"You have to be kidding me." (Yes that's the best description I could think of). I joined the band wagon and wrote some Dadvid for you! It was the last day of summer camp. All of the Children's parents had come that day to pick them up. Max's parents, however, had arrived late to bring him home. David noticed that Max had been very much against the idea of going home. However, David doesn't think much of it at the time. Max may still hate David, but he soon comes to realize that David may be his only hope...(Yeah uh, I don't know what else to put in this horrible description, so I guess read the story to find out more..? Sorry! ^-^')

David had been worried about max for a while, after the parents day incident he came to realize that max's parents really didn't care. No wonder max was such a downer all the time, but what if David took that all away? Could he really help max the way he needed to? Maybe he could... WARNING: strong language and some abuse included.

It was nearing the end of Summer, meaning all the other campers and Max were going home. On the last day, David noticed Max acting differently than he usually does, but he brushes it off, and all the campers go home. Until a turn of events happen.

We all know that Max's parents don't care about him. Heck, they didn't come to Parent's Day and didn't even bother to fully submit Max's paperwork. But when David notices that Max is acting suspicious one day, he's determined to cheer him up! I thought of this as a Season 5 episode and I hope they do something like this. NOT MAXVID I DONT SHIP ADULTS WITH TEN YEAR OLDS. When David goes to adopt a kid, the last person he expects to see is Max. But of course when he sees HIS camper stuck in the group home, he has to take Max with him back to a place for you and me. Camp Campbell. Disclaimer: I don't own camp camp, obviously. All I own is the story. Warning, this story is completely self indulgent, I wrote it because no one had written the story I wanted to read. As the days grew closer to the last day of camp, David started to see a change in Max's behavior. When the day finally arrived, David saw just how terrible Max's parents actually were. Now David has to fight to get Max in to a loving home.
