Hadley Jamison doesn't know what to think when she hears that her classmate, Archer Morales, committed suicide. She didn't exactly know him, but that doesn't stop her from feeling like there was something she could have done to help him. So to Hadley's surprise, on the very night of Archer's funeral, she has a run in with Death himself and is offered the chance to go back in time to stop Archer from ending his life. The catch? I awake from my slumber with a jolt. Something isn't right. I breathe in deeply; bad idea. A cough rakes from deep within my throat as the smoke enters my lungs. I open my eyes and see what I can best describe as heat. My eyes widen in fear when i realize what I'm looking at is fire. I hop out of my sheets which were almost burnt to a crisp. I try to get up, so i can run out of my flaming house, but trip on the end of my sheet, pathetically falling too the floor with no more than a thud. Struggling with the sheet, there is only one thought running through my head; I can't die like this. "NO!" I scream losing the will to fight, feeling hot tears pour down my cheeks. Just a I'm giving up, I feel a strong pair of arms picking me up off the ground. "Sh, you're going to be ok." the person coos, "I won't let anything happen to you." I rest my head on his shoulder, taking one last breath, finally letting darkness take over. Not once seeing his face. All I could feel was a leather jacket.
