After Dazai Osamu got his hands on "the book", he woke up to find the world completely rewritten into a chaotic Danmei fanfiction. Everyone around him was painfully out of character (OOC), and worse every single man seemed to be in love with him. Every. Single. One. And just like that, Dazai became the center of the most cursed fanfic universe imaginable, where his CP (coupling/romantic pairing) had basically hijacked reality. Terrified, he bolted straight for Kongtong Mountain in the middle of the night. Dazai: "I like women. WOMEN." Dazai: "Don't come any closer!" Thus began his wild journey through a world full of relentless BL tropes and persistent admirers. Dazai, a proud womanizer with absolutely zero interest in men, must now face an entire world of lovesick guys and try to dodge the red thread of fate (a Chinese symbol for destined lovers) flying at him from every direction. Luckily, no one remembers anything they're all just following the script. So Dazai decides: if the world wants to play dirty, so will he. Armed with his brain, his charm, and his questionable sanity, Dazai embarks on a battle of wits, schemes, and survival. And when he finally sets things right... They all remember everything. Dazai: "...This planet is no longer safe for me." What to Expect: No actual CP (couple pairing) Dazai is running for his life, not falling in love. Lots of OOC characters straight out of fanfiction nightmares. The term "Danmei" refers to Chinese BL (Boys' Love) novels, often full of drama, angst, and romance. This novel lovingly pokes fun at them. "Sand sculpture novel" is Chinese slang for a story that's ridiculous in the best way funny, silly, and not meant to be taken seriously.
