It was the perfect match; the two most sporty and popular students dating each other. Little did people know, their relationship was filled with dark secrets kept from the public. Right before the beginning of the school year, the pair broke up, leaving Sommer High to fall into chaos amidst the battle of the two popular friend groups. Secrets are shared, hearts are broken, and Darryl Noveschosch makes a new friend.

Zak has always wondered about when he would be able to see the color of the sky, or the grass or even his mother's eyes. All his life, he's lived surrounded by shades of white, black and grey. He longed to see what the world around him truly looked like, and when that day would come. Darryl has become used to the bland world he lived in, no longer imagining what his hair color was, or the color of his dog's fur. Any mention of color in conversation made him completely close off and turn into an emotionless being.
