That is, until a tragedy in the music industry leads to unexpected professional opportunities for Stevie and she decides to take them. "Trouble In Shangri-La" is a story just as the title suggests. ***Another look into the alternate universe of Buckingham Nicks*** It has become clear to everyone by 1993 that Stevie's dependence on the klonopin she was prescribed by her doctor several years back has had a negative impact on her life - everyone but Stevie, that is. When Fleetwood Mac is tapped to perform "Don't Stop" at the January 1993 Inauguration of President Bill Clinton after it was used on his campaign, a few things become clear - Fleetwood Mac is poised for a reunion after the conflict in 1987, Stevie's running joke about a budding romance between Julia and Jodie is blooming...and Stevie is in desperate need of a health intervention. As Stevie prepares to release "Street Angel", an incident occurs that sets her on the right path, but that path forward will be a tough one for her...and for Lindsey, Julia, Aaron and Sara left at home. ******************** "So I'm going away for a little while to remember how to feel, and if I find the answers, I promise you, I'll come back to get you..."

After a successful Fleetwood Mac reunion and a solo tour, Stevie is determined to finish recording her album that she had been working on on and off for years. A late-night phone call, an offer to help, and they yet again break every promise they had made to each other.

After 16 years, Christine has decided to come back to the band! Fleetwood Mac packs up and embarks on another year out on the road, a fivesome once again. Family and other personal battles, however, exist behind the curtain, such Mick's divorce from Lynn conjuring up his age-old crush on Stevie as well as Lindsey's old jealousy, and Olivia's decision to marry her on-again-off-again boyfriend with a history of terrible things not only breaks Aaron's heart but causes him to worry for her safety. It wouldn't be the Buckinghams and McVies without the family drama, and it wouldn't be Buckingham Nicks if they didn't face it all together.

In an Alternate Universe Stevie and Lindsey got married as a "safe option" in 1978 before Rumours came out, instead of Breaking Up. This is the story of the re-release of Buckingham Nicks through the eyes of her daughter.
