For the fans, it began as a single Instagram post, a picture of a single line written in her handwriting... "...and if you go forward..." Moments later, another post, the following line, written in his... "I'll meet you there." For Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham, however, it was so much more than just two lines from a decades-old song. It was the start of something neither of them could ever have imagined, neither one of them were planning on...but still something they couldn't ignore. When the Buckingham Nicks album's long-awaited reissue was announced, 52 years after the its original release, both Stevie and Lindsey were perfectly happy to abandon their rift and replace the silent treatment with a mature and civil understanding, a burying of the hatchet that began with the death of Christine McVie and the reality that life is short and neither of them were getting any younger. However, it didn't take long before that civility and reverence for their shared history turned into something more, something much deeper... ... something akin to a second (well, a hundredth) chance to grow old together the way they dreamed of decades earlier, when they sang those two lines into a microphone and meant every word. This is the story of the reunion of a lifetime, and a love story that proves it is never too late to have it all...no matter how many years your love has been frozen.

Hoping that the new space will be exactly what their family needs to start a new chapter after so many years of turmoil - Stevie's addiction, the fallout with Mick leading to a Fleetwood Mac lineup that, for the first time since 1975 contains no Buckingham Nicks, and Stevie's desire to mend fences with Robin's widower, Kim, and have a relationship with their son Matthew, now a middle-schooler. What Stevie, Lindsey and their family are about to learn, however, is that in order to begin a new chapter in Santa Monica, they first must deal with the unfinished business they left behind in Venice Beach, and in the conflicts that must be resolved...as well as a business decision that threatens to cause a rift in rock and roll's most storied couple, Buckingham Nicks.

***In the continuing alternate universe of Buckingham Nicks*** Stevie Nicks has spent the better part of 1994 doing three very important things - touring her latest album, working on weight loss after feeling too self-conscious at her new size to perform live, and winning back the love and trust of her family after years of addiction to klonopin. Upon returning home from the only bus tour she's ever taken or will ever take, Stevie is ready to tackle the remaining two things head on...but being the mother of two teenagers and a precocious little girl presents a few unique challenges, especially as a teenage love affair blossoms, a few academic and disciplinary issues arise, and the Buckinghams prepare to move house in the middle of it all...not to mention orchestrate an informal reunion of sorts with the rock band that gave them their success story twenty years before.

Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham are back together and, frankly, being unbearable about it. Reunited, blissed out, and behaving like they're thirty again, they've spent the past few months indulging in great food, wine, and zero restraint, with Lindsey encouraging it and Stevie happily going along. Neither of them has any interest in stopping. There's just one small issue. Stevie needs to get back on stage soon, and her wardrobe is no longer cooperating. Enter Mick Fleetwood with a plan. Maui, a beach, and a team of very committed wellness professionals whose methods are... unconventional. Faced with the prospect of discipline, structure, and something called 'targeted work', Stevie is forced to consider the unthinkable. Getting back into shape. Lindsey, after casting a mildly concerned glance at his own newly acquired roundness, may also be persuaded to participate. Possibly. Under protest. If he can be talked out of his jeans and promised the experience will be worth his time...

***In the continuing alternate universe of Buckingham Nicks*** By the end of 2006, Stevie and Lindsey have been striking a good balance between career and family. With 3 of their 4 children grown and three decades of marriage behind them, as well as Fleetwood Mac having agreed to a hiatus after Say You Will, it looks as though they have the time to devote not only to their solo projects but to each other. That is, until a tragedy in the music industry leads to unexpected professional opportunities for Stevie and she decides to take them. "Trouble In Shangri-La" is a story just as the title suggests. The lifelong battle between life on the stage and life at home that has plagued Stevie and Lindsey's relationship from the beginning is still very much alive in the later part of the first decade of the Millennium, and the Shangri-La that is Buckingham Nicks will be shaken as the perfectly imperfect couple struggle to make it all fit once again. ******************** "I hear there's trouble in Shangri-La...I run through the grass, I run over the stones...down to the sea..."
