Even after Bilbo returns to his hobbit-hole, things aren't the same. There is an empty space that he didn't even know was there to be filled. Now, however, he is acutely aware. There is a beautiful tragedy to healing from a loss, Bilbo copes with the help of an acorn. Bagginsheild. Lots of it. Fluff and tragedy after the hobbit.

Bilbo Baggins agreed to go on the journey with Thorin and company because Gandalf asked him to, and Gandalf was a friend. But he didn't expect to find love...and definitely not with the most unexpected person ever. The others don't understand, even threaten to shun them...but can Bilbo stand up for the one he loves, and the only love that he's ever understood?
